Tuesday & Wednesday, Amboise, Loire Valley: We visited three popular chateaus of the kings of France at Villandry, Chambord, and Chenonceau. Amazing gardens & architecture, the crown jewels of the Loire Valley. Some great wine tasting at a local vineyard followed up with a traditional French meal of escargots and lamb at a beautiful restaurant in a limestone cave. ... in the now very hot sunshine. The start time was a less traditional 5pm and the ceremonies continued and continued. Finally at 5.10 the flag was waved, the portly drivers ran for their cars and Le Mans Classic 2014 was underway.
