We then travelled down to where we were staying at Azay Le Rideau, passing through some lovely places with churches and chateaus hugging the Loire River, such as Bois and Amboise. ... some ok dinner...most folks did not speak english so had some awkward moments. in the morning we went to the Chambord castle...so many to choose from and very little time so we picked it as it was huge and closeby. interesting...with giant rooms and halls...and acres of land. louis XV or thereabouts...a big hunter dude.

we drove back to Paris and took a train into town...

Almoco simples, mas a francesa, ou seja, mil pratos..... brincadeira..... de entrada comemos terrine de carne e terrine de salmão (comemos..... eu comi.... a Deia experimentou....).... prato principal o famoso Coq au Vin..... uma delicia... inclusive a Deia pediu para repetir... (brincadeira)..... NA sequencia uma assiete de fromages.... ...

... construído inicialmente no sec. IX pelo conde de Anjou.... muito imponente e em seu fosso há lindos jardins cheios de flores.... muito bonito. Mas não entramos pois não queríamos perder tempo, estávamos apenas de passagem. O roteiro previa irmos direto para Azay-le-Rideau. Porem resolvemos fazer uma paradinha em Chinon. Chinon e famoso pois foi o local onde Joana d´Arc convenceu o então príncipe Carlos VII a lhe colocar a frente ...
