I am pleased to report that after 13 hours of traveling (2 hours at airport before first flight, 1.5 hour flight, 5 hour layover, 8 hour flight, 1 hour at baggage claim, and a 0.5 hour bus ride), I am officially studying abroad in Geneva! My roommate, Nikki, is delightful and almost as drowsy from jet lag as I am. Our room is outfitted entirely in Ikea furniture/sheets/rolled up pillows. ... bought for the entire week on the slopes!! They were happy and pretty awesome on the flight and through the airports. We arrived late and took the shuttle over the border to France and stayed at the Novotel. Dinner was late and we didn't get the kids to bed until midnight. They were so amazed by the tiny patches of snow when we arrived, it made them very excited, so after dinner it took a little while to calm them down.

... more interested in going to see a soccer game now... Anyway, once we were able to regroup people and calm down we ran around trying to figure out which way would be the cheapest to get back to campus. We ended up getting taxis back to campus and arrived around 10pm. From there it was some quick catching up with people and a call home before bed. ... kind of refreshing and reminded me of home. So then we headed home for a chill out before dinner. We wanted cheese fondue again, so we just did it :) might as well, only in Switzerland once! Even if eating out is expensive, it's not everyday I get to see Sujata too. So it was nice. Although I think the franc is better against the euro than it is against the Australian dollar... so that's a plus for me. Although that night I felt sooo incredibly sick. Too ...
