      Bern is certainly a historic city and for sure one of the best preserved historic city's I have ever come across. Many of the roads are still cobbles and lined with old fashioned buildings. Monuments and fountains line the streets. The main city is built high up on the cliff edge above a large river which is in a very deep cutting.       You may have thought this trip was over or almost, but it is not yet....

      Last night the shuttle left the hotel at 6:15 pm, very early for a 10:40 pm flight, but it was the only shuttle time heading to the airport, so I took it.
