... could chill. After we got back we drove 5min down the road to a spectacular part of the coast called Parc du mugel. Some amazing ocean colour, sheer cliffs and views of the town. Dinner was great as our view from the apartment was gorgeous so we sat, ate and soaked it up. We left the next day for Beaulieu-sur-Mer (near ...

    Day 3

Day 3 started well before sunrise. We needed to catch a train that would bring us to the southern coast of France, to Marseille. Shortly after the train left the station, the run came out in spectacular fashion. It looked bigger than I have ever seen it and it was a deep orange color. Plenty big enough and the shower is great. We call it the tardis. We ate at the hotel restaurant that night. I didn't really know what to expect re French food but everything seems to come with fries. I had a very fatty steak. The rose is outstanding though. Early night to recover from the jet ...

... pools. as with point 3, these too are not just food, once again they are pretty beyond belief. At 10 in the morning, having just gorged on pain au chocolat, pain au raisin and a side of chocolat chaud, I start to salivate for paella. 'Go on' says David 'We can always have an early lunch'. Boy do I love my husband.

So my inner teenager is alive and well and she says (most humbly)... 'Sorry Mum, you are right again. I do want to be French'.
