I had a couple hours in the warmth and wifi and talked to Corey (one of our Australian friends) before heading back into the cold to leave Austria. Like 25 pounds but hoped we would get away with it. Alas, no. They had an attendant wandering around and weighing bags. No biggie though! Kurt went right to sleep at 9pm and slept 3 hours, Karl following close behind. It's now 1:15am- Karl ...

... tears to my eyes. Dachau was the prototype concentration camp. It had a gas chamber built in the crematorium but it was never used. The prisoners were sent away to outlying camps for extermination. It was liberated 69 years ago yesterday. There were many groups of school children; after talking to our receptionist she confirmed it was an option while at school and most students go and spend a day there.
We spent a good 3 hours walking the grounds ...
