We had planned to see Christmasmarkets in Salzberg, Vienna and Nuremburg but did not really expect it in Innsbruck. It was a pleasant surprise as the market had started on the weekend.

... than the tunnels the trip was uneventful til we got to Innsbruck. The Altstadt (old town) christmasmarket had started on the weekend. Our hotel was on the christmasmarket street. After a couple of misses and drive bys we finally pulled into the market, found the hotel and the receptionist told John where the parking was and that he needed to do a U turn and get off the street right away! The car is parked until we leave on Thursday.

It was just as chilling as I remember from visiting when I was there in 2010. That night, we found our hostel in Munich, and had some traditional German food for dinner.
