So we jumped on a train and headed back to Solothurn. By the
time we found the cycle shop in Solothurn it was also closed, this time for
lunch. We settled down for a drink before returning to get the puncture fixed.
After lunch at camp we decided to go for a swim in the
river. The water must be about 18 degrees, very refreshing.

gorge, there lives a solitary monk who supposedly looks after the spirituality
of the area. A real fairy home.
From here Corinne took me to another part of town where her late
Grandparents used to live and showed me where she had crashed her tricycle when
she was a young child.
... her husband in their charming chalet high up in the Canton of Valais. The view from there was spectacular.
Returning to Dornach with continuing rain showers makes me wonder if this rain will ever stop!
Looking at the Meteo Europe, I could see bright sunshine in Spain and Portugal.

The ride between Montbeliard and Mulhouse in Alsace was all along the Rhone am Rhine Canal and was even downhill for a time! The locks were so close together that it felt like we were navigating down enormously wide steps - very nice for those going in the right direction. ...
