Awesome service and great location. Simply love the fact that it is located along the Rhine river, overseeing small and big Basel:)

A very austere 5 star hotel steeped in history and rooms with mod cons but stay true to its heritage.

I spent several days in Basel as my workshop was held there, at Les Trois Rois, along the beautiful Rhine river!
Basel is a small town and we travelled mainly by foot, occasionally hopping onto trams and boats ;)
Most meals and snacks were bought from Megros and Coop, besides the occasional indulgence of the Swiss cheese .......
          Thankful for this impromptu trip!

... br> First stop was a pharmacy to see if we needed to cut of my foot or what the story was. Turns out I've basically over did it the last few days, and shouldn't be doing sport for a bit. Something about my achilles tendon. So. Drugs swallowed we set off, me taking it easy by only pedalling with one foot. That almost like taking it easy right?
We started off by following the euro bike route 6, which should lead us to ...

So after planning to get an early start... which again only happened shortly before 10, because actual beds are just so dam comfy, we were on our way direction basel. The original plan was to stay at Annignas place, but seeing she is on holiday, and that basel is acually 90km away, we decided to take it easy. Good thing too, about 2hours into the ride, I start feeling something not right at the back of my foot/calf. ...

... br> even have natural hot springs and outdoor spas. You can see these,
called Bachle, in one of the pictures. We never did figure out where all
of the people were that allegedly had all of the hotels in Freiburg
booked over the weekend. Could have been they were in church, unlike us
heathens. So we weren't extremely impressed with Freiburg, and soon
headed back north to drive the Schwarzwaldhochstrasse (or the Black
          Forest scenic route) on ...
