... has been extremely painful. The whole gum is still swollen and seems rather infected and I always suspected there was still some tooth left in the gum. Well, during that horrible night in Macedonia a small pin/point began sticking its way out the side of the gum and while riding through Albania here pops out this little bit of tooth. We checked out of Edi's sea rooms on the morning of the 16th and headed to the bus terminal. It was a bit of a scramble as we'd slept through our alarm but we made it! As we sat down on the bus we both agreed that we probably shouldn't have stayed up so late drinking with Kyle and Caroline. Oh well! We're on holidays! A bit more motorway, then off on the 6 towards the Croatian border and our lunch stop in Rijeka. The city is an urban sprawl with a large port, noisy and busy but with some impressive, if somewhat faded, Italianate architecture. We find a nice little trattoria with good food to ease the stress ...

... 6 miles and dropped anchor in Prklog which was a lovely long inlet totally protected with just one other boat. It felt like we could have been in a Swiss forest some where as there were so many tall pine trees. Needless to say storms arrived after midnight and we find ourselves playing scrabble at 4am in the morning ...
