Suspense in Millau
... just wanted to take him home.
We then headed for the second lookout point. But first a few people had to make a pit stop, so Cindy decided to try her hand at left hand driving, pulling the car up closer to the toilets. She even managed a pretty good parking. The second lookout point was quite a while up a hill. We actually didn’t drive all the way up, because it went on for miles, and we found a pretty good view next to a paddock full ...
Viaduc de Millau....This is some bridge.Whoops.!
... spending time with our English friends. The history is so hard to comprehend – dates, times etc. The villages built out of the mountains, so concealed from the marauding enemies.
On to Dublin Friday to visit with Gayle and Sean and then on to Kerry. We have been blessed with such good weather here in France, it’s hard to think winter and heavy clothes will be on the agenda in Ireland. No doubt the Guinness will help, not to mention the Gin and Tonic!

Millau bridge and a visit to Peyre
... Another day here and we would be treated like locals, even know our way around now. Shame to leave.
However tomorrow we will head towards Paris, will not arrive there that day as we are going the long way and keep to the countryside. will stay at a very small place for the night, that is if we can find anything there. Basil Garmin will come up with something for us.
A lovely day we will always remember as very special.

Meandering through Millau
... here and it is realy hard to judge how much you want but we got there in the end.
Tomorrow we will drive around the place, go to the bridge look out and visit some villages close to here. It is a lovley region and I would advise anybody to come here and take a look. The bridge of course is very special and attracts a lot of visitors now.
A lovely easy day, bbq steak and red wine for dinner. Life is tough isn't it?

Lakeside campsite
Again pleasant driving avoiding toll roads, across open rolling coutryside.
Tricky. this finding places to stay, I had thought that we would use French Aires, but the ones I've aimed for are full. So we found a campsite with no one in!. It is the end of French holidays.
We walked a bit by the lake, drank some local wine, listened to thunder in the distance and slept ...
