We made it to SWITZERLAND - the land of mountains, cheese, and chocolate where they speak German, Italian, and French.

St. Gallen, Switzerland

We are staying in St. Gallen, which is about a 1 hour train ride west of Zurich in the German speaking part of the country and is a very historic, smaller town of which we have learned ALL of the history!

During our first week of orientation, we learned that it is known as ...

... town. It had started to snow outside and was much colder than we were used to in the other parts of Switzerland we had been. There is one contraption that catches my attention: It's a cable that disappear way up the mountain, and a wooden box, which it looks like it's still in use, as a very, very rustic cable car to get up the ...

... head past the last village, following a quiet footpath up the valley as it gets narrower and steeper as daylight fades. There's one last town up ahead before the pass and I can see its lights not too far ahead. I figure I could try camping out, and if it gets colder that I can handle, I still have the option of hiking up to that town and checking into a ...
