On to Austria.
... was going for a stroll in the old town and invited anyone to walk along with him. I and maybe a dozen others took him up on his offer. Linz is the third largest city in Austria. It is located in the north center of the country and less than 20 miles from the Czech border. After WW II this was the boarder between the Soviets and the Allies. The bridge across the Danube was "no man's land" and a very dangerous place to be.
