... easy and not force myself to run up and down mountains! It's okay to take a day off I beleive. In acknowledgement of my cold, I decided I should have a proper meal at a proper table, and just enjoy some good food!
I ordered what is considered a pasta that is chacter to Ferrara. and It was breaktakingly sumptous! A type of ravioli with Pumpkin inside drizzled all over with a butter and sage sauce. I ate these ...

Ferrara Highlights
9200 meters of city walls commissioned by Duke Ercole d'Este and built between 1493 and 1505 with walking paths on top.
Castello Estense de Ferrara--a defensive structure from the early middle ages that dominates the old city surrounded by moat. The Castello Estense was menacing from the outside and lavishly decorated on the inside. You could feel the history and understand the ...
Short train ride from Florence after a hair raising trip trying to return the rental car in confusing, congested and traffic restrictied Florence (don't rent a car downtown go to the airport). Bologna is an university town (even Johns Hopkin has a campus). Very historical town with a great plaza area like most towns and a great antique market.
Bologna, Emilia-Romagna, Italy pathenger... They all have WII and they all play computer games. They all run around on the trains. Kids in Italy drink coffee. I tried espresso--it was gross.
Oh, I forgot, I loved sleeping on the train. It was cool because the compartment was neat, it had a sink and I had the middle bunk with a seat belt that kept me from falling out of my bed.
Bye and hope your summer was great too. CIAO!!
... the next possession, we moved the ball to midfield before being forced in fourth and 15. I lined up to punt and saw the defender over Paulo our gunner on the far right was creeping in for a punt block. I wasn't sure if he was bluffing, but I nodded at Paulo who nodded back, it felt like the most obvious thing in the world. The ball was snapped, the defender came, and I threw wide open Paulo a pass. He caught it right at the first down and took a ...

Bologna, Emilia-Romagna, Italy ritand... and find a parruchiere (hairdresser) in town cos I'm starting to look like a hippy with a beard, long hair and bell bottoms (except the bell bottoms). Maybe I'll just give him/her free reign and see what happens :) Well, I'd better find a food shop. It's 4pm and somehow I haven't eaten anything since the stale breadroll they call breakfast at the hostel in Venice. John
Bologna, Italy johnnyg... a room with three other girls: Anne (my roommate), Lily (our nextdoor neighbor), and Kate (who I shared a room with in Rome and during the Agriturismo). We had several hours to wander around and get lunch, so we went to a little place with really good panini and I also got apricot juice. I'm pretty obsessed with the juice here; there's really nothing like it in the States, I've tried to find it. Maybe I should start a company that exports it ...
Bologna, Italy fminonne... area, and how the duration spent in each section was driven more by how long we were interested in staying rather than a pre-determined timetable. The only rule was that we weren’t to touch anything. I’m sure the workers hate it though, with these nosey visitors having so much freedom to get in their way while they’re trying to work.
With the Research and Development and Formula One sections strictly off-limits, the first stop after a ...

Back on the bus! This time to Italy!! We went to Pisa (and had pizza for lunch!) We saw the tower, of course, and the church. Got to shop in the souvenir shops and sit for awhile in the sun. Very peaceful day. I can tell I'm getting tired, because the travel journal entries are shorter and shorter!
We were in ...
