Busy day today. Lunch at a friend's house in Asti and dinner with the son of Annalia's mother's best friend. Complicated I know. Taking a train to Asti. From Susa we drove to the town of Asti. Yes, this is the town that is know for Asti Spumante, a wine way too sweet for us. But, what we didn't realize is that this region is known for some of the very best red wines in all of Italy.

We drive back to the Malpensa airport tomorrow and drop off our car. We have a 7:00 a.m. flight out ...

Farewell Yessers & On to Vercelli

... It was another albergo—Hotel Garibaldi. It's a lovely place with beautiful gardens and a lovely restaurant. After the dinner we had last night we aren't eating much this evening.

We went down for dinner at 7:30. We weren't sure how we were even going to eat after the meal we had last night. We still felt full. We shared a macaroni, rigatoni with bacon and tomato cream sauce ...
