... mosaic tiles and lots of little bars and restaurants. All old but mostly well maintained. Main piazza and duomo had medieval look and were huge. Church was designed to be biggest in Europe till Papa stepped in. Taxi to Ducati 20€ for museum tour which had to be booked and was a bit disappointing cause factory closed this week. ... though they had spent the night there - wrapped in blankets. There was also a statue of a tiger killing a camel - it was under restoration so I couldn't find a plaque - but I did think it was a little bit odd. The park detour was good as there was a massive protest occurring up the street the hotel is on. ... free people today wearing laurel wreaths - and all very cheery! I happened to pass by the same cafe I had breaky at later in the afternoon and they offer a huge buffet lunch menu - the place was packed - there were no chairs or tables available. Good sign that it is good value and good food. I visited a number of sights today - started with the cathedral of San Pietro. ... and was life sized. On the bus, the back of each seat had a seat belt sign - but there were no seat belts on the bus. After the bus tour I wandered the narrow lane ways for a while and then stopped at a place for some late lunch -I had the traditional tagliatelle el ragu which I will probably learn to cook on Thursday.
