    ... the main sights, some not so common sights and two giant cruise ships heading through the canal to the sea. There was also a stop for gelati which we enjoyed in the late afternoon. We stopped in a square for an apertif before dinner.     ... land as a defence against a barbarian invasion. The narrow lands we went along are only water lanes so not accessible by foot. It was worth doing.
