... and ate snacks and hung out with our friends until the show started. There was an announcer for the show, telling the crowd who or what company had paid and donated each firework show. I learned that many families who had lost a family member in the year usually pay for part of the show as homage to their lost loved one. There were cruise ships lining the bay where they could see the show from the water. There were fireworks in the shapes of fruits and vegetables, cartoon characters ...

... outer structure. it appeared that they use straw and a mud like compound which I told Megumi was similar to how many houses were build centuries ago in England. It was great to be able to see real Japanese life and thus very bizarre alley within a house like structure which houses people's little store. You really need to see it to believe it or understand how people can have a store where there us just about enough room for them to sit down in! It was so nice ...
