... dog clothes and accessories. Pachinko - this is an obsession and when you go in a pachinko hall, the noise is insane! Anything you want can be got from a vending machine and they are everywhere. It was a truly wonderful day when we realised on drinks machines if the price was in red, it was hot and blue cold. So you can have iced coffee, or hot coffee. Genius! Everyone cycles using a sit up and beg bike with a front basket-useful and effective ...

Hopped on the bus at 0814, cable car followed, then 2X trains just to get to the next bus stop. Then a 4 hour bus ride to the mountains. It sounds horrendous, but it was really really ...

... Japanese snack. We then took a bus back to our ryokan, all feeling a bit damp and cold from the rain, and relaxed the rest of the afternoon in our in-room onsen. We had a kaiseki dinner together in our utakas. Our server was a cute little lady with a sparky personality. She spoke no English and didn't seem to notice we didn't speak Japanese! She continued on talking to us with blank looks on our faces. Except for John, who she seemed to love and ...
