This in itself is bad enough - if I want to give a donation, I will do so, but I shouldn't have to - but each time, I tried to throw down between 20 rupees and 50 rupees whereupon the priest would reject this and insist on a 100 rupee note, getting quite arsey in the process. Each of the priests' donation pile was thus quite large which leads me to wonder what they actually spend this on; it certainly isn't maintenance and cleaning of the temple!

In Haridwar kozen wij voor een ashram om in te verblijven. Een ashram is een plek waar je aan je spirituele groei kan werken, dmv meditatie en yoga. Hier voelde ik mij dan eindelijk thuis. De ashram is gelegen op een rustige plek 3km buiten het centrum. We betalen 650 rps per nacht voor de kamer en 3 maaltijden inbegrepen.
We hebben nu 3x aan yoga ...
