Storm before the calm

... facilities and, hopefully without tempting fate, peace and quiet. The site owner also chucked in several information leaflets, maps, a beautiful calendar of Slovenia, and two bottles of fresh water. Again we are surrounded by the ubiquitous mountains and fir trees. We now sit eating dinner and drinking wine in the lovingly erected wooden structure shade. Oh, and by the way, good wine here is 1.50 a bottle, the most you can pay is about 2.50. Whoops.

... get, I guess, from a rich country that doesn't have to rely on taxes. The Brenner pass is a huge elongated concrete skyway..which we avoided because we didn't want to pay the toll. ... Ferrata complete with ladders, chimneys, traverse, slabs and crevasse sections. Ellie was great and put her gymnastic moves to good use in some full stretches. Renato helped support Ellie up some of the vertical bits that required some upper body strength, but otherwise Ellie did the whole thing and loved it! ... Toll Roads the hills were not so dramatic but the engineering of the bridges and tunnels was pretty spectacular! Over the Brenner Pass, Steph even got a sign at the border this time, and then a long descent down into Italy towards Bolzano-Bolzen.
