      ... just after we stopped a truck full of sheep went passed.
      Great little hotel with coastal views in Porto.
      An afternoon walk and drinks on the balcony before pizza and rose' at the local restaurant.

      ... has a lot of stone, mostly granite and limestone, and almost all of the houses are made of stone which is lovely. It is almost one big mountain (although actually hundreds) with 1000 km of coastline and only 300 km of it is beach. A lot of Eucalyptus trees, which were imported from Australia to deal with malaria (didn't work, the US bombed it with DDT during WWII instead).The main product is chestnuts and they do everything with them: polenta (eaten at every ...

      ... The ground floor and the cellar feature a few photographs of the family residences around Ajaccio and photographs of various agricultural instruments used on the land such as millstones, jars and oil-presses

      We spent 1hr there and it was well worth it. The entrance was free as it was the first Sunday of the month. Soon after our visit, we picked up our luggage and went to the airport to catch our flight to Rome where we had accommodations for one night.

      We left Porto Vecchio in the afternoon and drove back to Ajaccio where we started our trip in Corsica. It's a 3 hour drive from Porto Vecchio and Ajaccio.       Second day in Ajaccio

      Early Morning - We had our breakfast and we went straight to the beach which was across our hotel. How convenient.:)

      Around lunch time, we checked out and then we had few hours to visit:
