Marseille, Provence, France 2totango... chair who fell on the cobblestone streets of Capri and fractured her tibia. Like i have said before, some of these people are trying to do things they shouldn't be doing. The movie tonight on MUTS is Ghosts of Girlfriends Past with Matthew McConaughey...don't know if i can convince Bob to go but i think it sounds funny. Tomorrow the weather sounds great for Barcelona so hopefully we will have something more interesting to report. Ciao for now:)
Marseille, Provence, France sscaswell... handstands and all the rest.... spend hours cleaning the sand out of our bags and clothes! The next day was a stunning 26 degree day.. so so so nice. We never thought we would be at the beach again. Were tempted to stay but found out the next 2 days were not going to be great weather. Sadly we headed off at 4pm to head to Avignon.. Saying goodbye to the med forever was very hard.. and sad....
st. clair, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France emmasadventures... sequence touching land in a tornado and leaving buildings lying limbs akimbo in its wake. I like entering at some unknown entrance and just seeing where the maze will spit me out, as long as it’s still daylight. The main street is Canebiere, which I affectionately refer to as the ‘canebreak,’ in homage to my roots, and from there streets radiate in all directions.

Marseilles is pizza ...
Marseille, Provence, France hardiek... Chinese’ (the conspiratorial ‘they’ like the editorial ‘we’) are now targeting Europeans with their treasure fleets of Chinese junk, though. We need a sequel to ‘Nausea.’

Unfortunat ely it seems I’ve booked the bus from Hell to Marseilles, though. I forewent the 10:30pm bus in favor of the midnight ride so that I’d get in at 8am instead of 6. With France you can’t be sure they’ ...
Marseille, Provence, France hardiek... people from all across the globe were *****ing about how there was absolutely nothing to see or do in Marseille. I told them that is really not true and to just get out in walk for a good people watching time. Even at 9pm on a Sunday I was able to observe a part of France that I am sure is foreign even to the French. Instead of drinking beer or shots at bars, middle eastern men were drinking shots of coffee at sidewalk cafes ...
Marseille, Provence, France atlpilot36... year 2009 was right here under my nose the entire time just waiting for me to wander into it. Walking around Marseille this afternoon was a hundred times more rewarding than a morning aimlessly traveling the countryside within a train car. I got to experience what a melting pot is like somewhere other than the US and I will have to say the flavors are a little richer over here. I think the French would give you a different opinion though based on the few I spoke with.
Marseille, Provence, France atlpilot36Overview Marseille is France's second largest city, but it often goes unnoticed and unvisited by travelers who choose to spend their time in France either in Paris or along the sunny beaches of St. Tropez, Cannes, and Nice. They are missing out on one of France's most diverse cities, both in terms of people and activities. Marseille has a fascinating history. Founded by the Phoenicians in the sixth century BC, Marseille has long been one of ...
Provence (Marseille), France, Catalonia, France katstravel... kiosk and got a room. Now everyone says its been gutsy of me to do this. It wasn't really gutsy until I was walking along the street, carrying my bag, in a strange town, with no map, not speaking the language, not having a room- then it hit me that this was gutsy. Prior to this, the trip has been planned and booked- now I fly on my own. The town is full. I had a choice of two rooms- one two miles from the city, one in the city at "Petit Maison de Carla"- I chose ...
Aix-en-Provence, France tomsmidlife... LARGE, beautiful, colorful paintings related to the Bible. Afterwards we went for a siesta. At 10PM we went for a bottle of wine and then to Wayne's Pub. Mike and I drank and sang as we listened to an entertaining cover band.
