Bridget Bardot's secret hideaway
... lunch ever at a beachside restaurant - of fresh prawns, which came with a salad, two jacket potatoes and a big bowl of rice! They have a strange idea of portion size here in Brazil so its impossible to get a small meal. It was divine though. So, after much more sun (I now have 3 million freckles!) and relaxing I then headed back to Rio for my final stop before heading ...
Buzios, Rio de Janeiro, Carnaval
... to go and we were literally packed in like sardines. We got to Sambadromo and had an incredible time. A local Brazilian woman with a huge headdress was letting people put on the headdress and rage around. I was smiling and eying her and finally she looked at me and called me down! I walk around with minimal cash...and when I do...it's hardly ever in my purse. I don't carry my real ID on me (only copies) and my cell phone will now forever be stashed in my bra. LOL. Scary experience, yes...but you know what they say... "What doesn't kill you, only makes you ...
