MONODENDRI

This beautiful Zagori village we visit todayy is about 41 km from the city of Ioannina.
It maintains intact the traditional stone-built architecture.
The Church of Agios Athanasios in the central square is of significan historical value.

We come here for lunch. From here are are going to visit the Gorge, but also I have a stroll in the village to take some photos and admire the architecture.

... had to wait another hour or so before the professor was ready to take us to her house. Once we got there, we had cake and ice cream and coffee (or tea or whatever). Je suis parti tot ce matin dans l'espoir de me rendre jusqu'a Meteora. J'avais 3 autobus a prendre et un ferrie. Il n'y a pratiquement aucun train en Grece et je me rend compte a quel point j'aime le train compare aux autobus! Que c'est penible les autobus!
