Then, we found the Apes' Den, which are really tailless Barbary Macque monkeys. They roam freely all over the Rock. There's a legend that says the British will keep the Rock only as long as the monkeys are there.

... up, dinner and an Eski full of beer and wine was waiting for us. It was 2 to a tent so I paired up with another English girl called Becci, she is also getting off in Ghana. We then settled down to our chicken stew while Ishi gave us some info of what would happen next. After dinner is the usual ritual of 'flapping'! ... dining room as the Allegro was too far from her Suite which is right at the bow of the ship. Yay … happy us, happy waiters !

Oh, and when she decided to leave after dinner, our former waiter Sherwin who is a card decided he would escort her to the door. He offered his arm and she snapped ... “No!! only the Captain” ! Ooooohhhh !!! And she called us “sticky people” for doing the chef’s table tomorrow night ...

The Rock of Gibraltar

We set off from camp and drove towards Gibraltar. We hoped it would be a bit clearer than it was when we passed by on Friday - we could only see the haze in front of the rock then. We parked on the street and headed to the border. Gibraltar has no VAT so there were tons of people from Spain going across to buy cigarettes and fill up their cars with gas. We walked across the border and waved our passports at the "customs" control ...
