There was a day and a half at sea before we arrived in Gibraltar. They were pretty normal – lectures, culinary demonstrations, the gym, arts & crafts for me, etc. We were scheduled to arrive in Gibraltar at 2:00 PM, but there would be narrated "scenic cruising" as we sailed around the rock before our arrival. I had planned to stay here for 3 days, but have just been accepted at another workaway thing. I think this one will work out better, at least I am very optimistic! We saw the end of a beautiful sunset, the old part of Gibraltar and the new modern Mediterranean style buildings. There are many museums, caves, tunnels and WW2 memorials. It was Churchill who ordered the locals and Military to build an extensive cave/tunnel system encase Germany attacked. Due to our time restrictions Toby only saw half of St ...

... where we will once again cruise together until the next ocean crossing.

Since our arrival here in Gibraltar on the 1st December Kathie and I have been very busy with shopping for provisions for the trip and installing the extra gear that Rob and Laura brought over from England for us. Orca now has an AIS system (this device see's other vessels near us, similar to radar) and also a SSB receiver to pick up weather forecasts at sea when out of WIFI ...
