... through the park, we made it to Lake Bled. Bled is a resort town that is touristy, yet tranquil & gorgeous! Our first order of business was laundry. Of course, now we find out that laundromats are few & far between in this country. So, rather than spend more than $100 to have the hotel to do (priced by the piece, not the load!), we decided to find ...

It was all but destroyed during the war with 54 air raids conducted as it was seen as a strategic rail and supply route. Fortunately, Laura was quick, and soon we were ...

... old pervy Asian guy who took great pleasure in taking photos of me on his phone, without bothering to even ask. To add insult to injury, he wasn’t even taking photos of my face, but my chest! I was outraged, Mattijs was going to go smash him but I told him it just wasn’t worth it.

And just to top our day off, we didn’t even have a sunset! We had been hopeful but no, it decided to be cloudy.

Damn those church bells, maybe we should have just left them alone! ...

... of the lake which had been sectioned off specifically for swimming. Although Mattijs was keen, I didn’t fancy swimming just randomly, considering some of the so far unidentified humungous black fish we’d seen lurking on the bottom…!

Needless to say, Mattijs was in the water like a shot but having dipped my toe in, I initially decided it was too cold for a swim. It was lovely having a brief sunbathe on the lakeside but ...
