Bombes, Bombers and Ballistics in Barcelona

Bombes, Bombers and Ballistics in Barcelona<br>Bombes - delicious potato and meat filled balls of yummy tapas goodness. Mat was a total convert to the concept of tapas, which he had somehow never encountered before, and I think we may have tried every type of tapa Barcelona has to offer! Apart from eating, we walked a lot, and scaled (okay, took feniculars up) some lovely peaks to get fantastic views of the whole city. On day 1 ...

Barcelona (Possibly the best city ever) Part III

... when when all the stations film the kids sledding down Sand Creek hill in the winter. After the beach we walked around the Ramblas, then went to a part of town called La Ribera. We were going to go to the Picasso Museum while there, but apparently they close it on Monday's. There were lots of cool shops there and I even branched out and tried chocolate gelato with red chilies in it (it was delicious). That night, we went to a Mexican restaurant for dinner. When our waitress ...

... the perimeter clad with coloured ceramics, or among the sculptured paths and porticos with their splendid city views. The two Hansel and Gretel gatehouses were also a highlight, showing more of Gaudi's talent. It was a great place to relax, soak up some sun and have some lunch. We returned to La Sagrada Familia around 4pm, and surprisingly the crowds had completely dissipated and we were able to walk straight on in! The temple was a work in progress, and the interior ...

... tickets to Bilbao,Spain and book a hotel in Bilbao using a telephone card. Took the subway to see another masterpiece of Gaudi, the Casa Battlo. It is the most hallucinogenic work to me. Ate dinner at The 4 Cats Restaurant,an old Restaurant.Picasso hangout there when he was just starting. Ate in the balcony like section of the restaurant and saw a lot of international tourists.

Catalunyan Style

... back to Girona. Later that night we found a popular-with -the-locals creperia and ate some of the most magnificent gourmet crepes ever made. Who would have thought goat cheese on crepes? But it's to die for! Day Eleven: Travel day. Cheap Ryanair flight to Switzerland where we meet up with our good friend Bill Case. Now that's where we finally had Thanksgiving dinner - Swiss style: turkey schnitzle. Happy Feast of the Immaculate Conception! (Malta's holiday today) Sayward & Chris

Barcelona

... we had a muck around in the pool. Although I was still waiting for the sun to do its thing. We all went out locally for dinner and more tapas which was nice. Last day - of course the sun shone and it was lovely and hot as we clambered back on the bus to take us to Girona Airport and home.....although not without much todo at the airport as everyone's luggage was overweight, I was the first to notice their scales were wrong! All in all a fabulous time. Highly recommend Barcelona.

Gaudi and Boobs.. I like Barcelona.

... that I looked like Tom Hanks in Castaway. They were pretty jet lagged, so we took it easy for that first day. The next day we explored the city, in true Cropp fashion, which is to say, we made wrong turn after wrong turn getting further and further away from any point of interest. Eventually, we bought tickets for a tourist bus that took us around the city and pointed things out to us. Barcelona has some stunning buildings, most notably the Gaudi´s. We got to see most of ...

Barcelona Day 3?

... HOW????????? Curious about the contents? Oh, nothing TOO important: just my credit cards, cash (only about 12 Euros, no worries), student ID, Drexel ID, Hard Rock Café Card, and Medical Insurance Card. Did I forget to mention my PASSPORT? Lol. This presented a serious problem. I don't know how it happened, but it did, and there is nothing I was really going to be able to do about getting my stuff back-have you ever heard of a pickpocket returning your wallet because you ...
