... effort to wake up earlier, only to find it was still dark outside and prospect of sitting on the quay seemed daft.....back to bed! Warm porridge and burnt toast breakfast (the stove is a beast!) and ready for the day...OSMAing planks in the garage and then I squeezed into the low ceiling berth to paint on thick bilge top coat. The other advantage of this is that you are not surprised by a large final day bill at check out when you discover that you consumed more than you thought. No show tonight so we will have pre-dinner drinks and will have dinner on our own as Alex and Julie are ashore for dinner and we don't sail till midnight. Ciao for now and tomorrow it is ...

... boys, and we are looking forward to meeting with them in Rioja for some fall leaves and good wines in October.

It’s important to have good food at home and on weekend jaunts, as the boys entertain us with stories of how the school food is horrible, something apparently universal in Spain. It’s really too bad, as the social life around lunch is great, except for what really seems like strange
cafeteria food. ...
