... though we are going to be eating Italian for the next 10 days, we decided it sounded good and had a wonderful meal. We toasted to our next phases, Paige in Barcelona and Ken/I in Tuscany.

While walking back to the hotel, we couldn't help but still be amazed by our surroundings. The mountains, waterfalls, deep green valleys, cows, colorful flowers and local swiss homes all contributed to a wonderful 4 days. Next stop....Florence!!

... so the hike included a fun flying fox, playgrounds and a working dairy farm. Afternoon went to the swimming pool and played mini golf (well....kids played mini golf. ... ground can be found. Jerry had a delicious pork steak with a mushroom cream sauce and a potato hash while I had the special, family lasagna. We coupled dinner with a bottle of chianti and finished with a "sweet", fresh blackberry crepe with vanilla ice cream. Our new found friends headed back to their room and we waited for the bill. That's another thing that is different, you have to ask for the bill and you'll probably end up waiting a good bit of time on ...

... into clear blue sky putting the cloud top at around 2600m. Whilst JJ, Bruce and I put our skis on and sorted ourselves out Jon and Sam went for a short blue run to a nearby chair then we all headed off down another blue and an easy introduction into the day. The second run of the day was much more vigorous as we dropped off the blue run and into an area of soft snow off piste. This was a great run with soft lumps of snow to turn on down the slope and it was a good workout ...

To start the day we went to breakfast in Sion, Switzerland at Place du Midi. I had a vanilla cream filled croussant, know to the swiss as vanilla bread. This was a preferred by Alex but I liked the chocolate bread better. While eating Chris came to join us, as well as a small bird that also enjoyed my breakfast.
