... the first people in the dining room. We giggled at that because most Europeans eat later. We figured that it meant we'd have a private anniversary dinner in the empty restaurant. We were seated at a two top table by the window and weren't seated for five minutes when the owner seated another couple directly beside us. You could tell by our initial looks, and theirs, that we all felt it a but odd. Having two large empty rooms and placing two couples only ...

... I cannot explain, it is easier to see the detail of the runs when tree skiing rather than in an open area.
We enjoyed the run to Lauterbrunnen. It is a track down the mountain with a rock wall on one side and a drop on the other. It is a high speed gliding run which worked well until we stopped for a couple of folks who had crashed, covering most of the width of the run, just before an uphill bit! More walking with skis on. Then it was off to the locker and back to the hotel.

This was a preferred by Alex but I liked the chocolate bread better. While eating Chris came to join us, as well as a small bird that also enjoyed my breakfast.

When breakfast was finished we went for a walk in the old town. There we saw many different churches. One church in ...

9/16/2011 RichWe have arrived in Murren in the swiss alps via train then large tram car then vernucular train. It is a stellar sunny day, about 75 degrees and slight breeze. There is a base jumping and base flying competition today. We saw some guys on the gondola coming up and they looked pretty rad. The walls of the valley are incredibly steep and they have places where they just jump off. Some have flying suits as well ...
