      today we caught the train and cable cart back down to lauterbrunnen and then caught a really long train up the other side of the mountain. we decided to ski to grindelwald for lunch but we went the wrong way and ended up at a gondola. we decided to catch it up and it was soooo long. it took half an hour.       ... the first people in the dining room. We giggled at that because most Europeans eat later. We figured that it meant we'd have a private anniversary dinner in the empty restaurant.       By the time we finish eating and get packed to hike there is a little bit of clearing across the valley.       ... played … well, I don’t know what it’s called, but it consists of a ceramic bowl and a five franc coin. The coin is spun in the bowl and the guy keeps it moving by gently moving the bowl. It makes a noise somewhere between a fire alarm and jingle bells. And then the accordionist joined in and they both sort of yodeled. It was quite an evening.

      To start the day we went to breakfast in Sion, Switzerland at Place du Midi. I had a vanilla cream filled croussant, know to the swiss as vanilla bread. This was a preferred by Alex but I liked the chocolate bread better. While eating Chris came to join us, as well as a small bird that also enjoyed my breakfast.
