Today is the day we go to paris and I can't wait I am so exited. I got rudely woken up by dad at 630 am then we got ready and drove to the souillac station. We hopped on the train that looked old and daggy on the outside but when we hopped in it was all nice and cosy. Half way through the train ride some guy came and said this is my ...

We waited no longer than a minute for any metro train to arrive. It's so strange to see the locals running like mad to catch their train, even though there will be another one along in a minute. We were about to hop on one train this morning but it was so packed we couldn't all fit so decided to wait for the next one (which arrived literally ...

... see its inner workings. We learned too much about the hydraulic elevators and the very shallow foundation before riding up to the second level to enjoy the view.

Day one was a great start to seeing Paris. Dinner at Le Temps des Cerises was good, and started my week of fish cooked perfectly and creme brle. Bryan, feeling adventuresome, decided to try duck.

Walking back to the apartment, we enjoyed some of the Nuit Blanche festivities. A great start to our week in ...
