    Paris Day 3

A travel blog entry by max.campbell on Aug 12, 2015

... days and artworks must be worth a fortune. We then set out in the searing heat to see the gardens - absolutely amazing with huge sculptures dating back to 16-17th century. The queues and heat took its toll on us so only saw a small portion of gardens and lakes - over 400 acres, before we returned to Paris. Arrived back to hotel and caught a cab ...

We all woke up about 10ish and had a bite to eat at home and then headed out about lunch time to drop Jess off and get some lunch. We headed into nuits at George and settled on a quick bite at the local kebap shop before our wine tasting. The wine tasting was soo cool we had a great host and we visited the oldest cellar which was really interesting. We got to try 1st cru and grand cru and learned more about smelling and tasting wines. After the wine tour ...

    Paris -- French Open I

It was very well marked and there were lots of volunteers assisting us! Had to walk quite a way to Entrance B, where we went through a bag check, ticket scan, and ID check. Then we were in ...

... queue. Wait was only about 40 minutes (I must add that their queuing areas are all in the theme of the ride, so for Big Thunder Mountain we were "inside" an abandoned gold mine, surrounded by rocks, cobwebs digging tools, old metal chests .... Quite entertaining in itself), and the wait was worth it, another roller coaster (runaway mine train), largely plunging in the dark. A good ride to finish on. We strolled back to the centre, to Sleeping Beauty Castle, and waited ...

    Kama Sutra, Oh Happy Day!

Today we thought it time for more culture so we went to the Pinacotheque de Paris to see the exhibition on the Kama Sutra and related drawings, temple carvings and some more modern pornography. The Pinacotheque is not unlike the MONA in Hobart, privately inspired but with short term displays of various collections. After due study I have found new respect for yoga. On the walk over there we passed a lovely ...
