Very wet here now but still reasonably warm, moving slowly North and heading for Rouen today. ... to warm and sunny though the Loire looked ominously high. The water was above the normal level and the grass was sitting in the water.
We glimpsed chateaux alongside the road, some with steep grey flat roofs and some with cone shaped pinnacles.

... called inside for dinner. Being the lucky people we are, we were on the VIP table with the bride and groom. Dinner was served as entree, main, cheese course, dessert and cake (which was a croquembouche) then tea and coffee out where the cake was in another room. In between the courses there were speeches and odd French games that had been organised mainly by Jean-Marie's friends. It was something like what we would do for an 18th or 21st birthday with videos ...
