We moved down the French Riviera a little ways last night to Cannes...yes, the film festival city. From the water it looks much like Nice...lots of big private yachts and large hotels that extend to the city but this place has sandy beaches.

Woke up bright and early, bound and determined to be on time for once! We had breakfast delivered to the room and we were on for an 8:15 departure to Cannes, then Monaco.
St. Tropez and Cannes don't have a large enough harbor ...

... meet. He would have the biggest smile on his face when we came in and out of the hotel and delivered toilet paper to our door personally and gave us an upgraded room. Our trip back to Paris was really nice to sit out the window and watch the country side go by. 10.30 and the motorhome is safely delivered without a scratch to Avis - mighty sign of relief. It's been great driving around (when we found our way) but these things are big when negotiating the back roads.
