    ... found the gate. Our Airbnb host had left quite a few instructions. First to call the concierge, who sent a lady down to open the gate and guide us into a narrow car park in the garage. She spoke little English, I speak little French, but she managed to take us up and show us through the apartment. We did have a little confusion over what numbers she was talking about but Jude guessed it was the gate code and we're all good.

    ... it was quite a walk! A big cruise ship was parked out at sea so that probably explained all the extra tourists running around. The lady in the tourism office didn't speak very good English which was odd. She gave us some information about the island - there is a fort you can have a look at and you can go swimming. She sent us on to the port to a boat that takes you out to places you can go snorkelling. We walked around there but there was no office - you have to contact ...

    ... It is normally a 10 minute drive, but it took me 45 minutes to get there due to a nose to tail traffic jam. I finally found a place to park in Cap d'Ail and then I walked to Monte Carlo which took me another 40 minutes. Nice walk and I like getting the exercise but I left home at 7.45 and got to the office just before 9am all of which adds extra time to a 9am to 6pm day at the office.

    Today was a chance to explore some of the French Coast with our rental. One thing we noticed straight away was that we must have one of the bigger cars on the road. The large majority of the cars are 2 seaters smart cars or else the transport is vespers. 1st things first thou, time for breakfast so me being a early riser I thought that I would go get breakfast.
