Went for a walk to the old part of Orcet this morning, lots of narrow winding streets no wider than a small car, really quirky with a large church in the centre. Took the dogs for a walk down some leafy lanes, quote a nice stopover and the sunshine certainly helps. We hit Spain tomorrow as we continue South

After a good hotel breakfast we were out the door and on the road. We managed to get out of Montpellier without any wrong turns or recalculations. I'm not sure what the other 3 actually got up to last night.
Traveling through treed countryside in the Midi Pyrenees, there were little pockets of vineyards as we climbed higher.
Once we were on the highway we saw the signs to the Millau Viaduct. Apparently it is an modern engineering marvel, so we drove in that direction. It was ...

After a long and tiring journey we arrived at our campsite. Weather is lovely so went for an uphill walk in the evening. Just enjoying a beer in the bar now. Day by the pool tomorrow me thinks. Did a little reading by the van after breakfast and then dozed off. After lunch went and had a dip in the pool. The Puy de Dome district is an area of extinct volcanoes in the southern part of France. We stayed at a village perched on the side of a rocky steep hillside called Saint Nectaire. It is famous for its certain types of cheese and they had a cheese shop there to try it.
