... The day was so hot, up to 31 degrees, so travelling in Ruby was very sticky! By 5pm, we had had enough and pulled into the first campsite we came to near a town called Seilhac and overlooking Lac de Bournazel. At first we thought it was shut given the lack of any people camping however it wasn’t so we checked in.

That evening, we listened to the fighter jets on their way back to Toulouse. The sky turned very dark but we were spared any rain ...

... back to town, we went to the super mâché (supermarket) and bought supplies...wine, bread, eggs...and pasta for a home cooked meal. Nice for a change as although we are still enjoying the local fare, we are aware of the costs of eating out each night. Now you would have thought, and I certainly did, that Paul's sat nav would be a weatherproof edition made to withstand the tough conditions on the back of a bike. Well, you would be wrong.
His sat nav is a regular car version that is designed to work in the air-conditioned environment of a modern car.
