... for our cruise.
During dinner our boat arrived at our destination of Viviers. After dinner we took a guided evening walk through this charming town dating back to the Middle Ages. There are still many people living in this historical town with cobblestone roads, narrow and curved alleys, and many examples of Renaissance architecture. This town definitely brought you back in ...

During the night, we had heavy rain, with intervals of torrential rain. All in all quite a night, we had an early start today and were gone by 9am.
The " which road to take decision " was easy today and as we had already decided that Dijon in the rain was not a good idea, we would press on towards Lyon and took the E15 toll road. Sadly the controlled portions of the a-la-carte dining was missing...but what ...

The grapes are mainly dark purple giving specialty red wine. We also visited the castle ruins, destroyed by the retreating Germans in 1944 with views over the region and walked down into the little medieval town of Chateneuax-de-Pape. Sadly we hardly had time to poke our head into a couple of ...

Day 25: we heard the 4.00am departure through our sleep haze, but we're rudely awoken at the sound of grinding sounds like scrapping along gravel just before 6am. Thankfully it was only entering a lock but suffice to say we were awake and so another day on the river. We cruised all morning through a very picturesque valley, enjoying some downtime....reading etc During lunch we arrived in Tournon, t'ain Le Hermitage, another wine growing region but also part of the ...
