Another new experience
... of flooding was such that we were not happy to try and drive through the heavy floods to get to the camp. So we knew that there was a site at Equihen-plage. We followed signs and they took us to an aire - just a stopping place with gravel and a water dump and fresh water.
We settled down and let the storm blow over.

Made our way to the allotted pitch. Drove on and then couldn't find the electric point! Super bloke from 2 pitches up, showed us where the electric point was and suggested that we abandon the pich for one closer to the power. Which we did of course!

The shop is closed, the restaurants serves a very limited menu, with healthy food stuffs like
sausages, chips, mushy peas, and mash potatoes. These culinary highlights can be complemented by a lukewarm drink of your own liking, like coke or orange juice.
Still beats swimming, though, so mustn't grumble! And my car has been parked right at the front of the car deck, so mine is the first car to get off the ship, or down with it ...

When A Door Closes Another One Opens

This also happened again but a bit differently in Boulonge when we encountered 100km winds on one day and went to watch the waves crash against the break wall for the harbour. This was just as spectacular as the water went far higher, like bombs were being blasted in to the sea like it was World War 2 all over again. Except that we were safe, but almost blown off the side of the cliff.

The Indians hideaway
... visited the Nausicaa centre in the dock area of Boulogne and of course a short drive to the Hypermarket to stock up on French essentials for home (Olive Oil, Vinegar, Couscous, Spices and wine, not forgetting Alcohol Free beer of course.
The town of Boulogne is one we used to rush through from the ferries that used to dock there, so this time we were able to wander the streets and enjoy the street cafe's and Saturday Market too.
