... being Sunday the cathedral wasn't open till 12.30 so we went on a river cruise along the canal where we heard a little history and saw some of the old buildings where some of the only remaining parts date back to Saxon times. It was really enjoyable. With the rest of our free time we went in all directions....some shopping, some for lunch and a few of us found.....you guessed it....a patchwork shop :) ...

And so the story finishes......for now.....

... wierdo) and making a plan for the next 11 weeks. Both looking for temporary work and hoping to be gainfully employed within the next two weeks! Before we head off for a snowy adventure in the Pyrenees in December!!!

We have both loved every minute of this Euro-Mega-Moon and feel this may be the start of many more adventures in our amazing van Apollo-The-Great.....

This morning we left Belgium once again and headed back to France. We cruised through Lille and past Calais and ended up at Buffalo Grill! Finally we git to try it, although it was a tad average. our bacon burgers had no bacon, and the meat patty was red inside. a little disappointing. after lunch we headed to our campsite in Boulogne. ...

... When it got to 2130 I decided that as it was getting dark I was ready to have a break!

I have really enjoyed my journey, however I am still really looking forward to getting home. One of the greatest things about going away is coming back! As the Sterophonics album is called "You got to go there to come back".

I find I really appreciate what a great place England is even more having been away from it. ...

We left Sheffield yesterday at 2.30pm (so only 3 hrs later than we anticipated!!).
Heavy rain but no snow showers.
Arrived Calais about 8.30pm but forgot whether we were an hour in front or behind so stayed at Cite D'Europe in car park ...
