Chateaux country
... who is a guide in training. We set off to see three chateaux; the Lonely Planet Guide says two in a day is probably enough and it is probably right!! Mind you, we did it pretty fast as the speedo was up to 135kph at one stage!

Touring in Tours
... gloves, it is a challenge to access the bag, backpack or camera in a hurry! In addition, we are wearing the same clothes in all the photos, no matter what we wear underneath because we are always rugged up. The French pretty well all wear black chic coats and the children are bundled up in parkas and gloves, many with Christmas decorations or Santa hats. Their associations with Christmas are a long way from heat, holidays and beaches!
I will have to change my writing habits now ...

Premiere Chataeau de Loire
... and Sunday means, "Let's go shootin' boys!" We lost count of the number of seemingly civilised folk toting a good old double barrelled shotgun over the shoulder for comfort. One lone confused and bedraggled looking spaniel/retriever type hunting dog appeared from the woods wearing a look that suggested he'd had enough and wouldn't mind a ride somewhere nice and warm.
