This is the first place that I have been when in two days I have not heard an Anglo accent in the streets. Apart from engaging with hotel and other customer service staff I did not hear any English when walking the streets of Aachen.

    ... now? The Elves Market had the little gnomes all over the place. Little wooden houses that look like their homes at the bases of light poles to hide lighting and hardware. There were gnomes on the roof of one hut that was a ski hut with a moving ski lift. It was so charming with all the lights, cut pine trees and beautiful crafts and food they presented.
