... tackled with luggage to find a lovely room - all good. 1 couple had arrived the day before and after discovering they were out we went exploring only to run into them a few minutes later in the street. During the afternoon 2 other couples arrived with the lastcouple arriving that night, Of course it became very loud once we were all together as we caught up on everyone's news.

... as monarch. A special exhibition focused on informing the public on and changing attitudes about sharks involved a large touch tank where sharks roamed and met inquisitive humans. Large aquariums of various aquatic dwellers were a pleasant sight in the lower floors, but were typically crowded.

We stopped to eat in a restaurant, where after some confusion, we got a free pizza to take home, and made our way by the coast, visiting the well-groomed parks ...

We leave Menton on Monday morning - next stop Vence about 10 kilometres inland from Nice. We set off. The lady on the satnav helpfully tells Monsieur that he should continue onto "Le Grande Corniche". Monsieur is sure that he has heard of this road before. "Dearest, there is something naggingly familiar about the name of that road" Madame ...

... 1150 Lucas and I basically sprinted across town because we were not about to miss out on trying a few more flavors. But of course after looking like maniacs hustling down the streets of Nice, we arrived exactly at midnight and the place was still super crowded and stayed open for another 30 minutes -_- Hey, at least we burned off some of those calories we ate, right?!
