... set off but only got as far as Gigny, about 15k up the Soane river and the shaft bearing played up. And as we all know, every good sailor requires a sturdy shaft bearing. We were stuck, up creek, without a bearing. We managed to secure a tow from the Capitaine of Gigny marina,and returned, tied up along side another boat, back to Pont de Vaux for repairs.
