I had a completely lazy morning today, and it felt soooooo good for a change.

The free I breakfast at my hotel was amazing. Here's hoping I can skip lunch. It's crazy expensive here!!

Outside, it's pouring rain, but it casts interesting colours and shadows over the stone buildings of Zürich.

It's amazing how many churches there are high on hills, ...

... it's not! I must admit the image quality is terrific - sharp edges and crisp colours, oh and the photographer is pretty good as well! The ferry trip to Walenstadt was delightful though our tandem didn't fit in the designated bike area and was constantly being juggled as it blocked the toilets and gangways concurrently. On arrival in Walenstadt we were greeted by a scene not oft had back home - the sight of a naked silver haired elderly woman sun bathing (baking) adjacent to the ...

... enough for me to accept that staying quietly within the vicinity of the hotel may be sensible and so I settled in the lounge writing and drawing while Emma ventured forth to explore further.

It's never a good idea to try to explore a deeply catholic country on a Sunday. Many of the shops and cafes were closed and the town was very sleeping until the tour buses arrived and tourists headed straight for the ...
