      Le Mont Saint Michel

We had a bit of an early start today and headed down to Le Mont Saint Michel. What a miserable morning it was, it was cold, windy and raining. As we were getting closer the weather wasn't getting any better and thoughts of just keep going where at the front of our minds. As we came closer we could see Le Mont sitting amongst the mist and rain. Do we stay or do we go? We thought what the heck, we are here, it is just a bit of rain, photos won't be great but too bad, at least we have done ...

We arrived in Plerguer after about a 4 hour drive. It took for ever. When we arrived we found
      our unit easy.

We went to Mont St Michel. It is a church, a couple of shops and houses on a massive rock.

We went inside the massive church, it is called an abbey.

We got a tour guide to tell us what certain areas of the church where. Like the main church bit, where the monks ...

We drove to Plergeur. It took 4 hours. It is a good place.

There was a little swing set but it got destroyed, a dead bird and a badminton game.

We went to Mont St Michel.

It is a church and a lot of houses on a rock.

We went inside the church and got an English tour.

It took around about an hour. But in my case ...

Cycled from the Aire, 3km along the river, pleasant gravel cycle/walking route, had to park the bike up about 1km from the Mont and walked the rest of the way. Observing the new structure built in 2009 to manage the flow of water and return the silt from the river back to the sea. It is said that the Mont has so much silt around it that it is almost never an island. Some time in ...

... scenery as much as I do. We had a great conversation about how lucky we are to be here and have the opportunity to see so many places. Traveling is even better when you are with people who share that mindset because you can be spontaneous and enjoy the little things together.

      Fourth Stop: Mont Saint Michel
Our final stop on the trip was Mont Saint Michel. It is a small island that has a population of around 40 people and has existed since the ...
