We stayed at this family Hotel for 4 nights and found it really suited us. The location was terrific and inside the walled city. It was easy to find and on arrival the lady owner(Patricia) came out and made us welcome. Before arriving I asked many questions and her opinion and found her only to obliging. The place was immaculate and the bed comfortable. I didn't think it would be on arrival, but found it easy to sleep the night through. It is very quiet. The continental buffet breakfast was lovely and the items extremely clean. The family are lovely and all are only to pleased to assist and offer suggestions on how our visit could be improved when requested. The beds were made daily and the sheets and towels replaced every second day. If there is a fault it may be the Unit is on the smaller size; however this did not really affect us. We would return without hesitation.

... Gorse, and gorse is the clan flower of Clan McClennan, so Jenny feels quite at home.
We booked StMalo for two nights so we could visit Mont St Michel before we went across to the Channel Islands. Once again we were glad we were there (StMichel)off peak as the place was crowded.. The lower slopes of the island are very commercial , all the usual tack plus Paua jewellery made in NZ!! The abbey is spectacular to see and tour, with panoramic views, the ...

We made our way from St Malo heading south for Moelan-Sur-Mer.
We'd tanked up in St Malo - £1.05 a litre for Super Unleaded - not bad!!
Will was seeking a caffeine fix. After 20 miles of grind on the boring N176 I decided to cut across country. We came across this lovely little village - Jugon-Les-Lacs. 2 big café au laits to stir the cryo tanks and then back on it.

To get to Moelan, there are only ...

Woke up at 6am to 'Two & half men' repeating opening titles "Men,men, men, men, menly men men men, ooohhh", laptop had been left on.
          Went back to bed.
Next thing.....'Bing bong, ladies & gentlemen the boat will be docking in 15 minutes, please make your way to your vehicles'. But it's only 7am. The ticket says 8.15am.
Thanks Brittany Ferries, they don't say you board in English time but get off in French time who are an hour in front.

DAY SIX - THURSDAY Today, we have finally rested for the night at Le Grouin du Sud, just north of Avranches. First we stopped at Carolles Plage, where we got fresh water. We didn't really fancy staying there and paying 8€ for the privilege! We did fork out 3€ for 10 mins of water. It never takes 10 minutes to fill our tank as it's never completely empty. Lunched there and then set off to find a Super U for fuel and gas. Found that and did yet ...
