          ... jacuzzi all afternoon from around 3 until 8. We decided to go downstairs and get a bite to eat out we went to a little cafe which was Indian/pizza it was a little weird but nice and mello. There are so many homeless people around, everywhere!           Friday, 24th Jan was meant to be CYC in the evening but it was cancelled due to the weather. As we discovered, Houston drivers are discouraged from driving when there is the possibility of ice on the roads. Due to the design of the bridges and overpasses and the use of cement, rather than bitumen, when the temperature gets to below 32'F or -1'C, there is the potential for ice on the high bridges and this poses a risk to drivers.           ... food. At Trader Joe’s, if you find the animal that they have hidden, you get a prize of your choice from the treasure box! We found the turtle and each got a prize. I got a monkey eraser and Taylor got a hippo eraser. Then, we all went back to our hotel.


          We missed the dive-in movie so Taylor, Dad and I had a short late night swim in the pool, because there was nobody there, and the pool closes at 11:00! It was heaps of fun!
