Ausserbinn, Switzerland lesterenanne... the "Her Majesty's Secret Service" movie in the late 60's.
In case you weren't a fan, they had plenty of notifications of this fact to let you know.

In spite of it being from a package mix, I can tell you that it will likely go down as being the most memorable hot chocolate I ever had at Piz Gloria. Actually make that hot chocolate mixed with Grand Marnier. Hey, the Swiss felt the restaurant needed revolving and I felt the ...
Interlaken, Swiss Alps, Switzerland trockie... not on the list, which happened to be Zorbing. And Zorbing is essentially being strapped into a giant hamster ball and rolled down a mountain. Unfortunately, Zorbing was closed for the season, so three of my friends booked bungee jumping for Sunday afternoon. When we finally got up to Grindelwald and were ready to hike it was 2:30 pm... and it gets dark at 6. So we hiked up as much as we could before we had to turn back. Interlaken is a really ...
Interlaken, Swiss Alps, Switzerland chelseyineuropeWe were then supposed to take an overnight train to Bern Switzerland but I managed to **** that up royally and booked the train to Berne Germany, which is in the opposite direction... Jon was not impressed... and I only realized this 1 hr before our 10 pm train. So after hours of trying to rent a car (impossible during Oktoberfest) we got really lucky and found a car that needed to be returned to Switzerland anyways. So after a full day of ...
Interlaken, Swiss Alps, Switzerland sofenjonSaturday 16th Cote de Azure - Berner Oberland Today was a big driving day mainly north through Italy, 600 odd k. We started out by taking a wrong toll lane on the autoroute and found ourselves on a backroad looking down on Monaco, beaut views from up high. We had to back track a couple of hundred k back along the coast ( the scenery is probably better in this direction) as far as Genova and then ...
Grindelwald, Swiss Alps, Switzerland jimandelle... because they didn't have any single rooms left. Joy of Joys ... I had a bathtub! But I would get to that later ... first I had to go and search out some bubble bath! In addition to that, I went to confirm my ski lesson for the next day and pick up my rental equipment. GOt all that done, couldn't find any bubble bath, was thoroughly chilled and hungry ... so I had an early dinner, then went and sat in the ...
Grindelwald, Switzerland fyregirl... on the journey, he particularly tried to pretend to sleep when his infamous text tone (the nokia ring tone dieing ongoing) rang clearly though the coach which had everyone laughing and looking at him, and continued to look until he finally opened his eyes and sheepishly grinned, what a charmer!!) Next stop, a fabulous view as you can see from the pictures. Up at the top, we followed the driver out as he should know the best way in the maze that is the Jungfrau and he did, we ...
Interlaken, Switzerland rob.jenn... takes us up from the valley floor and onto the base of one of the mountains to the small town of Gimmelwald. It peaks out over the edge of a valley. Gimmelwald was tiny. Its town members secured a fake avalanche status so no major commercial development can occur here. We stayed in the town's only hotel/restaurant called Pension Gimmelwald. This place was sweet. They had great food including Schnitzel and Horseshit Balls (their ...
Gimmelwald, Switzerland mikeanderin... Apart from that the journey was fine!!! I must leave this entry there as time is a ticking on the most expensive internet clock. However, I will leave you with this snippet for the next instalment, which includes February half-term and the madness it brings, the trip to where they filmed the James Bond film, On Her Majesty's Secret Service and a whole lots more. Until next time campers, stay fresh and funny, Sheff
Grindelwald, Switzerland sheffster... conversation. Zurich is a very hilly city; some beautiful areas -- but hard to see in the rain. On the way home, stopped in Thun to have rear light checked. Exquisite castle on the hill, which is now a prison! Museum up there, too. Took walk upon return. Rain continues. I read; had light snack of cheese and bread. To sleep.
