... down the mountain roads towards the main motorway about 45 mins away. This part of the journey is very scenic and the road winds up and down and through tunnels etc as it drops height until you reach the valley floor filled with with acres of grape vines in neat rows or fields filled with apple orc********* a couple of steeper sections we were slightly concerned about a squealing noise from the brakes but we just slowed right back down and had to use the gears a bit more ...

... our next lift at Passo Pordoi. This next lift carried us and another 65 people crammed in each cable car up to the most amazing view at Saas Pordoi, almost the highest point in the Sella Group. As we climbed higher we could see some Rock climbers on the cliff face... It made our via Ferrata look like a walk in the park! We could see below us the winding zigzag path to the top which we were sure Binny and Laura would probably use ...

So tonight the plan was a lovely dinner followed by pancakes for dessert but the weather managed to change our plans! ... caused my palms to become sweaty & increases my heart rate by about a 100.

we met cars coming the opposite direction too..but by luck seemed to pass them at the hairpin bend where there was more generous passing place.

i think Jacob was a little anxious too...it was quite challenging..especially with the 'paddock' turning circle of the GG.

stunning views if you could relax a bit to enjoy them!

    Training Day 4

A travel blog entry by amandafield2 on Jul 28, 2015

Today before sailing we went to the bike shop and got some bikes. When we were on the water we were going downwind then up and tacked and then the vang broke. We tried to get Bully's attention but he didn't see us so we went to the other rib and Sam, Archies Dad, tied a knot so we could finish the training session. After sailing a few of us kids went back to the Coper's and then we went and had pizza together. Mum had dinner at Jill and Guy Abels with Chris.
