      ... so we had dogs on the train as well - very interesting. Someone was about to start smoking but no guesses as to who pointed out the "no smoking" sign so he put his smokes away (thank goodness). So another 2.5 hours and we were in Tirano. Checked in and had dinner of beef medallions (200gm steak) and mushrooms before our train ride to St Moritz tomorrow. Walking to dinner came across the most unlikely shop!! ...

      ... for bikes. When this road is dry like today it really is great fun to ride on a bike.

      On all other occasions I have continued on this road all the way to Tirano but today I am taking another route and heading to Stelvio via the holiday town of Livingo.

      I take the turn and right away I notice a old customs building with one police officer standing there watching and just after that is a big sign saying "Italy".

      ... we got up and after breakfast found the laundry and got all of our washing done. Then into Arco for a coffee and look around and John got his hair cut for €15 by a nice Italian barber and it was nothing like the space invader from Turkey. We found a hairdresser for Jenny and she could not speak English but she could speak German so we made an appointment for 3.15pm after their lunch time siesta.       ... then headed over to the museum. We had been told it was great for kids and they loved it. It had a mini scitech section, a section on mountain animals, dinosaur and whale bones, plus more. We spent a couple of hours there being dragged from section to section by 3 excited kids. Luckily the drive home was much less eventful than the ride there and Luca and Brodie both had a nap.
