We needed some recovery time so a slow start to the day. We did some laundry and watched a BBC documentary about Rafael (full of pictures that we havenbow seen). The plan had been to go for a day trip to Fiesole but the rain put paid to that idea. It never got heavy though; just a light drizzle all day, and lots colder. Lucky I had a nice warm jacket and scarf :-) Finally out the door close to lunchtime, and starving (all out of cereal) we stopped in ...

The first level at the top is where the two huge bells are mounted. Lucky they did not ring while we there or we may ...

Escape d without damage. Lunch was followed with a guided tour through the old town, see photos. We then drove to Montecatini ( nice town outside Florence) to a very nice Hotel for the night. Today we left Rome for Tuscany. We had a couple of stops but all of our activities are in Florence. We got here about 12.30 and went up to the lookout. The we went to a leather factory. They tried to sell us some leather jackets but I don't think anyone bought anything. Then we had a one and a half hour walk around Florence with a guide. ...
