... there we went to La Ramblas, a pedestrian mall with plenty of places to eat. We didn't get back to the bus until 4pm for our exit from Barcelona to Monserrat. We were a little later leaving as one of the ladies got lost on her way back to the bus. The drive to Monserrat was probably just over an hour, though we weren't able to doze as they played the last 10-15 minutes of a movie that the people on the first part of the tour had been watching about Pope John Paul ...

... we were informed that the bus would now leave at 3pm. I had a train to Barcelona at 4, so this was terrible news for me. The main reason I had paid for the most expensive package was so that I could leave on the earliest bus. Not happy Jan.
At 2:30 the bus arrived but after heaps of people tried to sneak on who hadn't paid for the guide etc. we didn't leave until 2:45. When we arrived in Valencia I had to sprint to get my bags and then run as fast as I could, dragging ...

Rubbing shoulders with sweaty Aussies we stood and watched and like the rest of the 29,800 not getting the opportunity to climb the pole we moaned about how easy it looked. Part of the problem appeared to be that people would get some way up but then others would shove them back down.
