We only did Lucknow because there was issues getting on a train direct from Agra to Varanasi, and we thought it would be good to break the journey instead of spending another 12 hours on the train, the plan was we had a 6 hour bus ride from Agra to Lucknow and a 5 hour train trip from Lucknow to Varanasi 2 days later.
