Today I emailed with a friend in Jakarta. I hope she can help me finding our pembantu (Indonesian for Maid) Sammie. It would be nice if we could meet with her again. At that time we lived at Jl Musholla 23 in Cilandak-Timur. We took Sammie with us when we moved from Ujung Pandang to Jakarta. When we left we paid for her ticket home. With some tidying up, checking out around 12 and a 70 mile trip to the ferry queue, we are on course for arrival in North Shields on Tuesday. When we get to Ijmuiden, it will be lunch sandwich time and we hope others in the queue without their own facilities will be extremely jealous!

We had a day of keeping one step ahead of the rain and travelling on roads that were a sheet of water with poor visibility for most of the time. We did however leave and arrive without getting wet. We rose early for the day trip to Deventer. Our train was scheduled to leave Centraal Station at 9:01 am but we found out that the rapid train didn't run on Sunday's so we took a connection through Utrecht.
