... first class carriages. We did not have any time to spare before it took off. Slasher has had humping suitcases up and down stairs! However, we still have to get to Heathrow by train - maybe a few more chances for a work out. At Bruxelles, we were met by Duncan and his driver. Apparently, we should have gone through to Midi but got some bad advice to get off at Nord. At their home, we had a cuppa and a sandwich and chatted with Jenny, and also her Mum and sister ...

... I won't see until another two months again.

Aline and I went back to her place and just relaxed. I'll be going home tomorrow evening and won't be in my hometown until very late.

I've had a blast though. Best time ever! These past two weeks went by so fast. Feels like I just got here.

Yesterday we went to Amsterdam for the day for some shopping and meeting up with our friend Heleen. We had some bad luck with cancelled trains though so we arrived later than planned. We then did a circuit around the EU quarter including the European Parliament and commission building. The area has very large building built to impress, but seem characterless compared to the old parts of Brussels. Walked back home ...
