... as the weekend was buggered anyway! So I've got the giggles a bit, and I'm also holding two fresh bread rolls which aren't helping but are screaming out to be used as a prop. Anyway, the lady was very helpful and directed me to the ladies underwear section. ... stags have just finished rutting too – what an eerie noise that is as it echoes across the valley. Clyde and Dodge continue to catch and eat the ‘rat moles’ that burrow in the field and we have a big wild fruit crop again; rose hips, sloes, holly berries and blackberries. Is this a sign? Not sure, but I have a funny feeling about this winter…..Meanwhile, I’ll continue to enjoy the 27 degrees I am currently writing this in.

... if you wanted. There were so many religious shops selling everything religious you can think of right next to each other. There would have had to be about 100 of them in Lourdes. We also saw so many priests and nuns in full outfits strolling around. Prayers, masses, rosary and confession go all day every day. You can buy candles that are 2m high to put at the alters. Day Six: Argeles to St Pierre de Pont. 150km, 3350m of ascent.
We knew this had potential to be a tough day. One hundred and fifty kilometres with 3350 of ascent is a tough day by itself. But day six……?
