... of Big Ben (well, what we know as Big Ben, it is officially Elizabeth Tower since the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in 2012, and was known as the Clock Tower prior to that) because I was having camera troubles with capturing the lights. It kept getting really blurry. Again, I am no photographer and kind of fail. I think it may have been better in the daylight, I'm not really sure, but regardless I'm glad we managed to fit it in! And I think that's it for day 1 in London! More to come ...
It's amazing how much you can gain out of life just from going on a walk in the park.
The weather was sunny today, and although colder than I would have liked, sun always gets me out of bed.
So I dressed up warmly and went to Hyde Park...one of the central parts of London that makes you forget that you are in a city of 11 million people.

from the major landmarks frequented by tourists. Rental Cabs are arranged by
the hotel so that people can move around the town for as long as they want and
also in comfort. This is a lovely and elegant hotel which is centrally located
near all important ...
... apartment- we walked down to Leicester Square and Piccadilly Square- it was beautiful in the evening with all the lights. We soaked in the atmosphere of crowds, street performers, bid, red, double decker buses and of course M&Ms world. Then we came back to the apartment and had pizza for dinner. Overall we had a more relaxed day with no agenda- exactly what we needed!
... 6:30am to finish taping boxes, complete immigration paperwork and haul the heavy cartons down 3 flights of stairs...
