... taking to get to Paris as we had left Poitiers early in the am and did not get to Paris until mid afternoon. We past a few castles and lots of crops, future croissants and baguettes! In the end there was a bit of chanting and clapping of "Paris" (clap, clap, clap) coming from the back if the bus, and you don't have to be Einstein to know who instigated that!

So we left there for Orleans (pronounced oh-lee-ons). Wow. This place was a surprise. It's so lovely. And clean. And the cathedral here is off the chart. We got Orleans late-ish but went for a bit of a stroll to find dinner. That's when we stumbled across the cathedral. Normally it would be closed at that time but there was a military orchestra concert on. So for 5 euro we got to hear beautiful music in the most beautiful location. Scored!!!!

... a 22 mile wall. They had very fancy beds with curtains above them and nearly every bedroom had a servant room. There were olden day carriages on display behind glass and there were bits of the castle that they had to rebuild and the old ones were in a room. There was an enormous clock. After we the chateau we went to a new campsite, it has two ridiculously small parks, one really fun exercise thing and a fun swimming pool.
