... the GPS was set to avoid tollways which is why we had such a scenic route yesterday. So had a much speedier trip today. Although we did pay for the privilege. 18 euro for one of the tollways.

(Ruby)- Today was very fun, we went to Chateau Chambord which had a lot of stairs. It was so tall and they are fixing the roof. We watched a film about how they built it. They started making it 500 years ago. The Kings and Queens lived in there and they didn't share all their money. Lots of people were poor and they had a revolution. Better day, but still a long drive

Just us (The Good Olde Boys) and Interceptors to go, of for 9am and on the road we go, steady drive, still put in another 9 hours of driving, but managed to go via the Millau bridge and kept pushing to get to Orleans, so this gives us an easier day tomorrow.

Rat Rods drove through the night to get to Calais for 3pm, then the 6pm boat over to the UK, they reckon to be back home in the North East for 2am. Tip my hat to them, that is a marathon driving session!! Well done lads.

... We parked a couple blocks away from our apartment, and walked to meet the host, Walid. We buzzed his apartment, and he came right away to meet us. He was a super nice guy. He showed us around the apartment, and even took me out to the streets to show me where the key stuff is that we would need (metro stations, bus stops, supermarket, etc.).
